This series and RJ’s first series are wonderful adventures for the strenuous days spent hunkered down in our homes during this pandemic. RJ Seney’s writing style will carry you through the characters’ journeys effortlessly. There has been no better time to pick up a novel of this caliber. They will give you many days to take time away from our trying world so you can become immersed into a different one.
The Margdonians is a series written for late-teens to early-twenties readers. While not as hard-hitting as the Losing Humanity series, it too brings the harsh reality of humanity to the forefront. Language used throughout the series is kept to a level to convey realism, while being acceptable in a school library.
With that being said, many older adults will find the new series very enjoyable and will be able to reflect back upon when they too were younger. There is a strange twist, however, that older adults will find fascinating. That’s as far as we will go with that. (No spoilers!)
There is no fixed number of novels in this new series. The 2nd novel in the series has been written and is in the process of being edited for release later this year or for 2022. More will certainly come. The third novel has already begun to be outlined.
As the series progresses you will get a feeling that you are reading a quest that begins similarly to a Harry Potter story, but then converges with Star Wars-like adventures. Throughout the journey there will be many factual learning experiences that may take you to other parts of the world… or possibly… into the Physical Universe.
The Margdonians is a unique experience that also contains RJ Seney’s use of music scattered throughout the stories. It adds a movie-like experience that some people like.
