RJ Seney was born and raised in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. While attending high school, he worked two years part-time as an automotive mechanic and attended a technical school to become certified in automotive repair. Upon graduating high school he worked as a professional mechanic for four more years before deciding to attend college. He earned an Associate’s degree in Applied Science at Adirondack Community College and then a Masters of Business Administration at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
RJ Seney designed and developed business software and administered Information Processing departments for thirteen years before starting his own company called Intranet Technologies Inc. After providing business solutions and Information Technology services for companies in the Northeast for twenty-one years, he decided to switch career paths to pursue his writing and gardening passions. He currently has embarked on a new business called New Wave Gardening, LLC to provide residential hydroponic systems and gardening consulting services.
RJ's hobbies include hunting archery, gardening, genetically engineering new plants and chickens, brewing beer & wine, riding his ATV in the Adirondacks, designing and building home power equipment, and fishing.
So how did RJ Seney begin writing an epic book series? A life-changing event occurred many years ago that altered his life. Things that he never dreamed of being able to do, now became much easier. One of those things was writing. One day he became bored while watching TV and decided to find out if he could write something he had previously discussed with his son on a return trip from college. After writing the first couple of sentences, the idea he previously had disappeared and was replaced with an adventure that was inspired by his life-changing event. That adventure is the series called "Losing Humanity".
When asked if he would continue to write after the series was completed, he answered, “I write for the same reason I have to breathe”. We didn't have to wait long when his 5th book called, "Be Forever: One Man's Revelations After Entering The Light", was announced. RJ has begun a 6th novel, but may put that on a back burner so he can write a book on sustainable residential gardening.
